Mehlville-Oakville Foundation
The Mehlville/Oakville School District Foundation is a not-for-profit (501c3) corporation, organized by community members in 1989 to promote and sponsor educational activities not included in the Mehlville School District budget.

The Foundation supports the District in four ways:

The Foundation supplies money to pay teachers for after school tutoring for students at risk. Funds are allocated to all schools in the district based on the number of students attending each school.
For the 2011-12 school year, 600 hours of tutoring were paid for spending $12,000 for tutoring.

The Foundation provides mini-grants to teachers for innovative lesson plans and classroom activities that enhance the learning process for students.
For the 2011-12 school year, $5,000 was awarded in mini-grants.

The Foundation provides one scholarship to a high school senior at each high school each year and coordinates several other specially funded scholarships.
For the 2011-12 school year, $7,250 was awarded in scholarships.

The Foundation shares fund raising money with each participating school for special educational programs and additional tutoring.
For the 2011-12 school year, over $13,000 was disbursed to the schools.
